Until he got word from his government of what the current situation of
Vector was, Tu-lek really hadn't entered his role as ambassador. Before he
got his first message, he needed his own message that he had arrived to
reach the capital. Tu-lek was somewhat pleased to see other humans in this
world of lizards. Both Doma and Vector had ambassadors, as well as Baron
and Toroia. Or what was once Toroia. The ambassador had informed him that
her homeland was ravaged by vile beasts. He couldn't get more information
out of her.

Until he got his first course of action from his government, Tu-lek spent
his time in the study. By bothering the Reptite Scholars there he had a
rudementary idea of the old writing, which had apparantly been replaced by
a newer form of hieroglyphics that remotely resembled the old. Even moreso,
he had a smattering of the old language, although he still had to inquire
to the Scholars on many passages.

What he learned was incredible, however. He primarally tried to focus on
more recent history, namely the last 700 years, since the reptites had
millions of years of undisturbed history, which the scholars contually
re-compiled much like middle age monks did with the holy bible.

His focus, in fact, was primarally on one figure he had heard great deals
about. The Reptite mind was far more complicated than the Human's, it
seemed. Most possessed a small amount of telekenesis and he also felt they
could occasionally probe into minds. But this figure went beyond that.
According to the Legends, this figure once moved a great stone in a
mountain and sent it hurling at small regiment of soldiers, killing them
instantly. His name struck fear into most Moogles, as they were his
greatest enemy. It was Azala.

After much searching he managed to find a biography on the Reptite. He was
shocked to find out that Azala had a long time friendship with the Dark
Lord. He was also intregued on the fact that Azala HAD aligned with the
Moogles, in order to put Bacca away, and had intended on turning on them
afterwords.

But it was common fact that the "prophecy" that the Dark Lord fortold was a
lie. Was Azala fooled too?

He read other books. It appeared Azala had been revered as a sort of King
Arthur. It was foretold that he would return in the time of the reptite's
direst need, with his Champion, the Great Nizbel, at his side.

The more he read, the more he was fascinated.

Finally, the day arrived that the messanger returned. Before Ussracts he
told of Vector's victory over Doma's attack.

Ussracts nodded. He said nothing.

When the session ended, Tu-lek approached Ussracts and kneeled.

"Ussracts, I wish to know about the Great Azala."

Ussracts chuckled.

"Azala iss a myth. Hiss grave iss in the ssentre of thiss castle, should you
want to pay him respectss."

Tu-lek nodded and left. Ussracts not supporting the priesthood? What?

* * * * * *

Ussracts watched the boy leave.

"Valdar" he called. His champion rose from the shadows.

"Yess, exaulted one?"

Ussracts nodded.

"Have you felt it recently? Two wavess of fallen energy?"

Valdar nodded.

"Call the feathered one. I wish to know of these matterss."
