Squall, Zell, Seifer, and Selfie stepped out of their strech limosine. To
their surprise, there were hundreds of screaming fans waiting to greet them
as they walked the red carpet. "Wow," said Seifer, "We haven't even been on
the scene that long and we already have a following!" They all smiled and
waved to the crowd. "Can I have your autograph?" one enthusiastic fan said
to Squall. "Sure," he said. she handed him the booklet from a CD case.
'Odd that she would have me sign this. I guess it's the only thing paper she
has with her. He gave the signed booklet back to her. "Who's Squall? Oh,
is that your real name, Mr. Manson?"
"Mr. Manson?! Don't you know who we are?"
"I think so. Isn't that Vanilla Ice over there," she said, pointing to
Zell.
"Yo! I ain't no white rapper! Word to your mother!" Zell snapped back.
"Oh yeah, I guess you're doing heavy metal now. I forgot sorry."
The FF8 group walked on, wonder exactly how many of these people knew
who they really were."
"Ooh! Ooh! Ooh!" a young male fan called to Selfie, "I love you! You
are my favorite! Marry me, please!"
"Tee-hee," Selfie said.
"Ally McBeal is my favorite show in the whole world! You are a Goddess,
Calista!"
"Hmph," Selphie said.
"I'll tell ya why no one recognises any of you," said Seifer, "It's
'cause you're all a bunch of chicken-wusses! They know who I am. Observe."
He addressed the crowd. You all know who I am, don't you?"
"Yeah," said one fan, "You're from one of those Final Fantasy games!"
Seifer smirked as his companions. The fan continued, "Your name is
Rufus, right?"
Bitter and humiliated, the four FF8 characters sulkily entered the
comedy club. "Oh well," said Selfie, "We might as well enjoy the
entertainment." They sat down at a table and the lights were lowered. The
comedian walked on stage. It was a toy cat riding an oddly proportioned
moogle robot.
"Hi folks! How y'all doin'?" the comedian began, "Ah'm Cait Sith. You
may know me from my best selling book and compact disc series, 'You Might be
an FF Character if...' Well, here are a few new ones. If you speak in
sentences consisting completely of elipses, ya might be an FF character."
Squall chuckled.
"If you can interact with the story, even though you just got killed in
battle, you might be an FF character. If your idea of an insult is something
as bizarre and innocuous as 'spoony bard,' or 'chicken-wuss,' Ya might be an
FF character."
Seifer stood up, angered. "Sit down, Seifer," said Squall, "It's just a
joke." Seifer sat back down and grumbled.
"If moogles assimilate you and make you into one of Mog's Queens, you
might be an FF character."
The FF8 party looked at each other, puzzled. "I don't get that one,"
said Squall. "Me either," said Zell. Suddenly, the door was kicked down by
a horde of moogles. They kupoed the staff and the audience, and grabbed
Squall, Zell, Selfie, Cait Sith, and Seifer, and hauled them away.
