Cyan rode his chocobo through the river. As they got closer to Doma, the
land became more and more void of life. The Moogles had been stripmining
the place... bastards.
Things had developed rather quickly this past year. Doma managed to fall to
the Moogles, somehow. Cyan determined that his soldiers would be intensely
trained from now on. Maybe he'd put Tim in charge of that after this.
He had been thinking about the war earlier in the morning when he was doing
his laundry. With the situation Doma was in, every able bodied man and
woman was shown how to use a sword properly, given a suit of chain mail and
drafted, so, he, as the king, had to do his own laundry. Not that he minded
at all. He never was into being pampered.
While he was washing his leggings he saw a stain of feces. Probably
something he stepped in and didn't notice. He examined the feces closely
and it almost seemed to resemble white moogle fur.
The Moogle were a stain. A stain on the face of the earth. A stain of shit.
Shit, something that would never go away, much like the Moogles.
He sighed. He could drive the Moogles away from the land, but he knew he
could not drive them into extinction, much as he'd like to. He could only
be prepared next time, better prepared, ready for the next rise of the
white fur.
He shook his head. Now was not the time to think about this. He had to get
his armour on.
Unlike most kings, Cyan regarded himself as a Warrior King. He never saw
the
justice in having his soldiers fight a war for him, he wished to be
alongside them. Perhaps this was just in his blood. It wasn't restricted
knowledge that the currently ruling line of Doma was descended from the
retainers of the previous line, when that line was wiped out by a deadly
poison.
They crossed another river across the barren landscape. The town was in
their sites. Wang's division was already encamped.
Cyan brought the division up to the camp.
"Hold. Set up camp and the seige engines. The time hast come to reclaim
what
is rightfully ours."
