Two dragons soared overhead, making a scout of the area to see if there were
Moogles present. It was morning. So far, all they had seen were the
butcherings that, for all guesses, were done by the Avariel.

The dragons made another passover the small opening in the canopy. This
time, they were being watched.

He had been watching the scouts for some time. They always made four checks
before moving on, since obviously a human's site isn't the most fantastic
of the children of the earth. Even a feline could spot better from the air
than a man.

A rather large double crossbow was aimed to the air. Writting on the side
was "Dragonsbane." An equally large set of bolts, almost the length of a
short spear, were knocked and ready.

He had to kneel to use this, even though he was rather large. But it was a
worth sacrifice.

The dragons made a third passover. He hit the trigger twice, each time
making sure his angle was perfect.

The shots struck home. The lances sheered through the small dragon's
stomaches and they let out an earth shaking bellow as the crashed to the
ground.

Well, they knew of his presence. Now he'd better make sure they're dead
before they got back to Tim's little brigade.

Grabbing an overly large bisento, he quickly followed the trail of fecal
matter that spewed from the dragon's ass as it made a final descent to
hell. He came to a new clearing, that previous was home to two large elms.
Two humans were standing back to back, longswords drawn.

This is too easy, he thought.

Grabbing a rather large chunk of wood, he threw it at full force at one of
the human's head. The human yelled something and they ducked. He
immediately charged in and cleaved the head off of one.

The other Ranger stood up and stared. He was staring at a Moogleboar. No
matter, he had fought one of these before.

THe Moogleboar chuckled as the Ranger swung his sword to his midsection. It
then grabbed the sword with a steel, grey gauntlet and yanked the Ranger
towards him. The Ranger, not nearly as strong, stared at the force.

Looking up, his look of fear changed to a look of surprise. Sitting on the
boar's head was... a cat.

"Not bad, huh?" said the Cat. "The name's Cait Sith, and your name?"

"J...Jerome."

"Okay. I'll make sure to carve that into the pike."

The Moogleboar then, with a quick snap, broke the Ranger's neck.

Cait Sith then set to work, using the Moogleboar's body as his. Four long
pikes were set up, and each was placed a head. Two dragons, two rangers.
The bodies were burned, naturally, and he placed each pike on a road that
he was pretty certain Tim would follow.

Then, grabbing his deadly crossbow, he headed back into the woods.

Today was going to be a good day.
