"There! This speech will woo the world! My competetors will rue this day!"
exclaimed Godzilla as he materialized the sheet of paper in Hecht's hands.
"Aye, majesty." said Hecht slowly.
"Now then." said Godzilla. "I want you to go give this speech to the people
at the banquet tonight. I unfortunately cannot attend." Godzilla then
turned and lumbered off.
Hecht shook his head. This was getting rediculous. The years in the void had
completely warped Godzilla. Not only was he convinced he was running for
rulership of the world in an election, he was also convinced people knew
about it. Hecht had insisted that if they wanted to actually have the
election that they send messages to all the world leaders, but Godzilla
insisted they'd know anyway.
Fortunately, Godzilla had yet to actually attend any of the rallys,
banquets, debates and so forth that he organized, instead chosing Hecht as
his spokesman. But Hecht really didn't know how long he could keep this up
for.
He growled again. He would have thought Godzilla would have focused more on
getting the reptite races still in existance to rally under him and with a
hammerthrust overrun the globe. But that wasn't happening.
The void had ruined him. But maybe if Godzilla had some time...
Hecht shook his head. This whole situation was going nowhere fast.
Godzilla needed to be saved from himself.
Hecht sighed as he slumped onto a large crate.
It had been a long four months.
