Subj: [ffml] [MW] Exchange, part 1: Give Date: 00-06-23 20:55:24 EDT From: raumkatze2@aol.com Reply-to: ffml@egroups.com To: ffml@egroups.com After Poochie was hit with that magic blast which had came through the wall, the next thing he knew, he was in a completely different location. He was outdoors, without a sign of civilazation in sight. But he sensed life nearby, but also death. He traveled in the direction of what he felt. As he got closer, he saw a man with long black hair kneeling over a dead man. He could sense that the old man had just recently died of old age. What was unusual was how rapidly the body was decaying. In mere seconds, the skin turned to dust, giving way to a skeleton, which then also disintegrated. The young-looking man stood up and spotted Poochie, who then walked toward him. "Hello," said Poochie, "This may sound strange, but is this the same universe that the third Moogle War is currently taking place in?" "Yes, why?" said the man. "Just checking. You see, I just got sent through a wormhole. By the way, my name is Poochie. What's your name?" "My name is Vincent Valintine," said the man. "Oh, Bahamut told me about you. You're the one who got sent back in time with Kat." "You know Kat?" said Vincent. "Yes, I do. You might say I'm her mentor. But speaking of Kat, I need to find her. She got sent through another wormhole, and it's very likely that she got far accross the space-time continuum. Do you know where I can find something that can track a wormhole, and send me to it's destination?" "I do, actually," said Vince, "come with me." Vincent took Poochie to V'Terr's gear. They flew to the gear hanger where his evil self had used the gate generation device before. Poochie followed Vincent into the Confiscatum room. "Is this it?" said Poochie, pointing to a small device on the floor, which looked similar to a laptop computer. "Yup," said Vincent. He picked it up and looked at the screen. "Command?(Search/Memory/Random/Details/More)" He chose search, clicked through the options, and searched for recent wormholes detected in this dimension. Two matches were found. Poochie studied the screen, and judging from the coordinants of the sources and destinations of each of the records that one of them was the wormhole that he had gone through, and the other one was the one that Kat had gone through. "Vincent," he said, "Send me to the destination of that second one please." Vincent typed in the destination coordinants. The screen showed the following: "---Gate Device Status--- GR-Loc: X.025 Y.002 Z999.1 CurrDim: #12a-322w-z87721 GateDim: #12a-322w-z87598 Ex'dRng: 0.1x10^-99% PowerRM: 9974 --- GateDim Readings --- EnvMatc: 100%err<.001 ProbCls: 100% PhysLaw: 99.99% TachynF: 200% DevFact: 1x10^-87% Command?(Search/Memory/Random/Details/More)" "Okay, that's it," said Vincent, "Now all I have to do is open the gate..." "Not so fast," said a dark voice behind them. They turned around to see a menacing cloaked figure. "I am Mogomra the sorceror. I will be using this device to go back to my own world. But first..." He clapped his hands. Gork, Vulg, Blog and Snot appeared out of nowhere, along with a strange little man whom Mogomra had never seen before. Mogomra also noticed that his henchmen were wearing strange clothing. "Why are you dressed like that? You guys look like BaD SaM agents." "You see, boss," said Snot, "We got recruited by this..." "Fascinating," Mogomra said in a patronizing tone, "Anyway, who's your friend?" "Pantaloons-I mean, Pat," said the stranger. "Well, Pat, I must have made a miscalculation in my teleportation spell. I'll just send you back to where you came from. Then, my minions and I will go back to where we came from, where neither Loltrec nor Yaoi Beard Man can spoil our fun." "Wait," said Pat, "After I saw my followers again, and regained my memory, I struck up a conversation with these four guys. They told me about the world they came from. It sounds so wonderful. Take me with you! Please!" "Um, I suppose," said Mogomra, "But don't ever get in my way, or I will eliminate you." "No problem!" said Pat, "I think I finally know what DLE was talking about when he said I was the one. I meant that I would be the one to go to this anime world. O brave new world! With such people!" Mogomra took the device from Vincent, typed in the coordinents of his destination and activated the gate. He handed the device back to Vincent, and stepped through the gate, along with his minions, and Pat. "Um, okay," said Vincent, "now that that's all over..." "Hey you!" said another voice behind them. "Not again," said Poochie. He and Vince turned around to see Yaoi Beard man and friends. "Have you seen an evil wizard, about so high, wearing a black cloak?" said YBM. "Yeah, he just used this to go to another dimension," said Vincent, holding up the gate generator. "Curses!" said YBM, "Quick, send us to the same dimension!" "Um, okay, I guess said Vincent," opening the gate again. "Quick, gang! We have no time to lose." He and his friends jumped into the portal. ----- After sending Pat on his way, Vulg said to Mogomra, "Hey boss, if we could get back that easily, what's to say that Yaoi Beard Man won't follow us here." "Heh, heh, heh," said Mogomra, "I was just about to attend to that." Then he began to cast a spell that would transcend dimensions and disable Vincent's device. ----- "Okay," said Vincent, "unless we get more interuptions, I can send you to where Kat is now. Now let's see..." He typed in the destination coordinents again. But before he could activate the gate, smoke began to come from the device. It became red how, causing Vince to drop it. When it hit the floor, it exploded. "What the...?" said Vince, "How did that happen." "Magic," said Poochie, "I can feel it. Do you know of any other devices that I might be able to use to travel interdimensionally?" "Well, there is one. The last time I saw it was when I, um..." "When you what," said Poochie. "When I threw it into the ocean." "Dammit!" cursed Poochie. Date: 00-07-05 18:42:30 EDT From: darklord@compusmart.ab.ca (His Dark Lordship) Almost on que, a pair of men walked down the path and stumbled upon the pair. One was a large Reptite, about 7' tall, and word a breastplate of black iron and a bright red cape. The other figure was a gigantic figure, with muscles buldging from all areas. He wore a chain mail vest and a mask that covered his three horned face. Atop his forehead was a long, wide bone plate. Poochie blinked. "I know you. Azala, King of the Reptites." "More Reptites..." swore Vincent. Azala looked at the pair, and at the pile of dust that was in the shape of a body. "Hmmmm..." muttered Nizbel. Azala shook his head. He didn't really care about what had occured here. "Ah, excuse me." he said finally. "We have lost our way. We are in search of a complex..." Azala pulled out a sheet of paper. "That is said to be near a... Crystal Peak, I believe." "You don't want to go there." cut in Vincent. "Something... bad happened there." "If this involves the ressurection of the Lizard God, then that is why we are headed there." cut in Nizbel. "We're on a mission to seal him." "Reptites... sealing the Lizard God?" Vincent had an odd look on his face. "Yes." said Azala. "Since the world is run by the three gods, and the Lizard God's created race, Homo Reptilius Maximus, has been extinct since his fall." Vincent blinked. It didn't make much sense, but he didn't hold much love for the Lizard God anyway, so he just decided to go along with it. "Well, I fled with V'terr here" he motioned to the pile of dust. "From the west. I would assume the peak is that way." Poochie's nose suddenly began sniffing. "Wait, Azala. Do you have a device capable of transending dimensions?" Azala looked at him oddly. "Oh!" he said finally. "You mean this thing." Azala pulled out the Porno Trigger. Poochie almost jumped in spite of himself. "Quick, I need that!" he yelped. Azala chuckled. "I'm afraid not. I need it to seal the Lizard God away." Poochie shook his head. "I'll there and back in no time at all. Seriously!" Azala chuckled. "I don't trust espers. You can have it when I'm done my mission." Poochie blinked. Cold Blooded Stubborness... Finally, he realized he'd have to earn this fellow's trust. "Fine. Vincent and I will help you seal the Lizard God." "What?" asked Vincent. "I never-" "Quiet you." muttered Poochie. Azala shrugged. "Very well." And they headed east. -- The eternal lord of darkness... Subj: [ffml] [MW] "Oh! It's Godzirra! Wirr he win the erection?" Date: 00-07-06 22:18:53 EDT From: raumkatze2@aol.com Reply-to: ffml@egroups.com To: ffml@egroups.com Azala chuckled to himself as he piloted the gear towards Crystal Peak. He didn't think it would be this easy to get the extra manpower he wanted. Nizbel and himself would be capable of taking on the Lizard God themselves, but since the mission was so dangerous, he wanted to find others to do some of the dirty work, so the small chance that he or Nizbel might parish would be even smaller. Until now, he had been planning on seeking out the warrior named Ash and his companions, but since these two needed little convincing Azala decided to look no further. "There, up ahead," said Nizbel. "Ah yes," said Azala, that's where that fool Bacca, and his followers kept themselves busy with the Dark Moogle, so the my army was free to pillage." Vincent shifted in his seat. He felt uncomfortable keeping this sort of company, but he would surely fail in defeating the Lizard God without their help. Crystal peak stood 50 stories tall, surrounded by larger mountains on all sides, with only a small tunnel serving as an entrance. In the 600 years since the second moogle war, some cataclismic events occured, which rearragnged the landscape somewhat. The land around Crystal Peak had given way to sea, but the Crystaline eak and the impossibly high, forboding mountains which surrounded it remained virtually unchanged, now existing as an island. Vincent looked up, trying to see the tops of the mountains, but his view was obscured by Clouds. "It cannot be accessed by air," said Azala, anticipating Vincent's question, "I'm going to take this gear in through the tunnel." "I've always heard that only those sanctified by the gods may enter Crystal Peak. If we are going there to dethrone the Lizard God, wouldn't he prevent our entrance to his domain?" said Poochie. "You are very learned, Esper. But you are mistaken about the nature of the so-called Lizard God. He is actually only demi-god. Reptite legends say that he once was a purely divine being, but when he went to accompany his followers to a mirror dimension, he gave his power to three mortals, in effect, making them Gods. They are now working to making sure that their power does not return to the Lizard God." "I see," said Poochie, "so, you think this thing will fit through?" "Only one way to find out," said Azala. He made the gear do a sharp dive in the direction of the tunnel. Once inside, he activated it's headlights. The four were met with the site of numerous undead monsters. Azala activated the gear's weaponry, slowely but surely blasting and hacking his way through the seemingly infinite number of zombies. "I think I could handle these guys with my magic," said Poochie. "Afraid not, Esper. All magic is void here, except for the mysterious magic which animates this undead army. The tedious action continued for some time, until the gear reached a section of the cave which was too narrow for the gear to fit through. "Uh oh," said Vincent, noticing that they were now completely surrounded by undead, who were doing their best to do damage to the gear, "What do we do now." Azala smiled and looked over at Nizbel. Nizbel sighed, and quickly open the cockpit just long enough to get out. Numerous undead flung themselves at him, but like a star running back, he kept on going. Whenever one of them started to really annoy him, he would disembowel them before proceeding. When he got to the narrow part of the cave, he grabbed onto the rock. "What is he doing?" said Poochie. "You'll see," said Azala. Azala grunted, his face showing extreme tension. To the surprise of Vincent and Poochie, Nizbel was actually moving the rock wall. After manipulating the wall the left, he did the same to the right, top and bottom walls. Thanks to him, the formerly narrow space had become big enough to allow the gear passage. Nizbel fought his way through the undead, back to the gear's cockpit, and went inside. Poochie and Vincent suddenly felt very vulnerable, intimidated by the large reptite's strenght. Azala moved the gear foward, and shortly, they saw a light at the end of the tunnel. Once they reached the outside, they found themselves in a pristine valley, which was a marked contrast to the dark haven of the undead they had just come from. In the center of the valley lay Crystal Peak, a 50-story peak, made of pure crystal, with had a few balconies, and what appeared to be some sort of office building on the top. "The balconies are protected by force fields. There's no way in, other than through the front door." The two reptites and their unlikely companions emerged from the gear, and approached the peak's entrance. The inside of the peak proved to be a complex maze. "Don't worry," said Azala, "the Gods are on our side." Azala put on a blindfold, and successfully lead the others through the maze, to the top floor. At the top of Crystal peak was a very large room, which housed an office building. The sign in front of it said, "Toho Party National Headquarters." [your turn, Eric]
