Perhaps some greenery would help clear his mind a bit. Southvale had a rather beautiful park, filled with landscaped rivers and stone sculpures. It also was fairly well defendable, which was good, since if occupied a whole wing of the city. Tim sat down at a stone bench, and threw a coin into the river. He looked around. He saw a figured drapped in yellow at the walls, simply doing nothing, facing the wall. He quickly realized that this was in fact Gogo from the Council. What he was doing here was completely beyond him. Tim sighed. He really didn't want to deal with another council member again. He got up. He would find another section of the park. GoGo's head bolted up. He turned around with lightning speed and saw Tim. Tim grumbled. He turned to the gate when he heard GoGo yell. "Stand still, motherfucker!" GoGo strolled up. "What the fuck are you fucking doing fucking intruding on me, motherfucker?" Tim was dumbfounded. "Ahh, I was trying to clear my head in the greenery, sir." said Tim rather mechanically. "Yeah right, Motherfucker. Look, just because you're fucking that Ladice motherfucker doesn't mean you can fucking go strut around this shithole like you fucking own it's bitchass." "Umm.. yes sir." said Tim. He was rather awestruck. How many people had known about his fling. This could be rather bothersome. Suddenly, Kat walked into the area. "What's all this noise?" "It doesn't matter what that noise is!" yelled Gogo. "Look, just because you're fucking that Ladice motherfucker doesn't mean you can sit around waiting for every fucking noise that I fucking make to a fucking soldier like this piece of shit here!" Tim snorted. He was in the clear. "I'm not fucking Ladice.." started Kat. "Do you find me FUNNY, motherfucker!?!" yelled GoGo at Tim. "Uhh... no sir!" "I'm not fucking Ladice..." repeat Kat. "SHUT UP BITCH!" yelled GoGo. GoGo then stormed off, taking the head off another soldier that was walking by. "Man, what the hell has he been drinking.." started Kat. "No idea.. Sir." Kat started to chuckle, but then realized who she was talking to. She then walked off like Tim didn't exist. Tim was Sad. -- The eternal lord of darkness... From: RaumKatze2@aol.com Kat was sad too. For one thing, she felt insecure and inadequate as a general. She had heard talk from the Doman soldiers, and even members of the war council. Some of it was just pure sexism, but other things were the same things that she questioned about herself. She may have minored in Military Tactics in college, but is that grounds to be instantly promoted to a rank of such high responsability? But whether the comments were low insults, or thoughtful insights, they all bothered her. It was always the same back-and-forth loop in her mind of self-doubting questions, and defensive responses. The Henriksens deemed her to be worthy, but could their judgement be clouded by the fact that she is a descendant of Spacecat? She won that battle in Tzen, right? But that could have been a fluke. But the reason for the lost battle in Vector was treachery, right? Wrong! That's just a crutch, a false excuse, an imaginary scape goat. The other thing was Tim. Before she talked to him the other day, what bothered her about him was his arrogance and all his macho postuering, not to mention the fact that she was jealous as hell as his success in battle, and the glory he was being showered with, and the fact that since he joined the army, the war council has not had Kat lead the army in any heavy combat situations. But ever since Kat had confronted Tim about his questionable affair, she had felt guilty about the way she was making him feel. Before, she had always prided herself on being a nice, sensitive person. But now she felt like absolute scum, like she was no different from all the people who had always ridiculed and humiliated her throughout her youth and adolescence. Then she made a hard decision. It was hard because she felt uncomfortable talking to people she didn't know very well, and she felt extra uncomfortable admiting that she has been wrong. She turned back in her tracks, back to where Tim was. "Um, Tim, I... I'm sorry," she said.
