Bhethria of Drias pushed a wayfaring strand of blonde hair away from her face. She kneeled on the bare face of the pluton, her brown eyes trained on the path below. There was slight movement among the pine trees below. With a quick movement, she pulled an arrow from quiver and loaded her longbow. It shot with a soft twang, and seconds later a blood-curdling cry rang from the ground beneath her.

"There's one less moogle to plague the planet," she said with a grimace. She scooted back from the edge as granite began to slide from underneath her boots.

Fending for herself for three months, Bhethria had become hardy and determined. The 19-year old had joined High Lord Bacca's forces in the role of an archer. When her unit was pulled through a teleporter and into the midst of moogle forces, she managed to be the sole survivor. All attempts to make it home were futile, since the stars above were not even those of her home planet.

She had worked her way southward through the mountains, seeking some form of civilization. She overheard moogles speak of places named 'Eblan' and 'Mysidia,' but they were foreign words to a girl raised on an isolated military outpost. Bhethria assumed that a more educated girl might have heard of the places, but she was at loss.

The girl scampered down the rocks, her white skirt tickling at her knees. She circled around and dragged the moogle from the trail. Within an hour, the moogle corpse had been burned and she has re-roasted a nice piece of venison.

"I wonder if I will ever make it home?" wistfully asked the hunter as she slowly chewed the deer meat.
