AN elfin looking woman approaches.."HEY! WHat makes you think this is MY fault!?!? Besides, doesn't the airship normally stay while we warp?" From one of the gun mounts on the corners of the ship, a young boy in mage's robes replies, "Got a point there....that didn't feel like a normal warp..something grabbed us and put us here. Question is why?" The elfin woman looks at him and snorts, "Yeah, you and all your magic mumbo-jumbo-" "HEY!" The man at the bow inturrupts, "I happen to know a bit of that 'mumbo-jumbo' myself..and it's gotten us out of a LOT of scrapes...wait a sec...what's that smell?" "Oh be quiet haystack....wait a minute..I smell it too...like something's burning..." THe young mage cocks his head.."I heard a scream!" "Me too.....from over there...." the man states, pointing out to the horizon.."and that's where the smoke's coming from....guys, do you get the feeling we're needed over there?" "I'm on it....siddown, junior, before you fall!" At a nearby village, all hell is breaking lose as a group of bandits ravage the town....when a burst of gunfire rips into a group of them! "WHat the hell was that!?!?!" "Umm....I think we're in trouble" another bandit whimpers, "Look..over there." He points over everyone's heads, at the airship quickly approaching, with it's guns sending firy death into scores of bandits. "Ok, guys....let's get down there!" They proceed to slide down ropes to the town, leaving the airship hovering on automatic, and immediately proceeding to dish out some righteous ass-kicking. THe elfin woman immediately stabs one bandit right through the heart, then hears a shout "Mail, behind you!" She turns, and sees 3 more bandits coming up behind her. "Guys, isn't this kind of overkill? Huh?" They go to draw their swords, and look shocked when their hands close on empty air. "Looking for these, guys?" the young mage says from behind Mail, pointing at the swords lying at his feet. Mail turns, and says "Stop showin' off, Duny!" Duny grins, and shouts "Duck!" as he extends his arm toward the bandits behind Mail, unleashing a blast of pure light at them. The bandits shudder under the assult, and fall to the ground unconcious. Meanwhile, a powerful looking man in dark armor is taking blow after blow from the bandits, but they only seem to anger him and make his blows more powerful...soon, no bandit, no matter how powerful, is left alive near Reod Dai. He shouts over to a man in white armor "Leo, need any help?" The man replies by thrusting his sword, forged from the fang of a dragon, to the sky. Suddenly, all the men attacking him hit an invisible wall of pure force. Stunned by this occurence, the run for the hills....right past a dark looking soldier in Stromgald wear, who reaches out, and appears to draw the strength right out of the fleeing bandits. "Nice job, Karekson....now we have prisoners!" Leo exclaims. In the meantime, the man from the bow, who seems to be the leader of these warriors, simply stands, eyes closes, blade held vertically before him. THe bandits look on, and decide to charge, when suddenly, the runes on his blade begin to glow. Unleashing a fearsome battle cry, he spins around, pulling his sword through a powerful slash....when a blade of pure power flashes outward from his sword, slicing the entire group of bandits to the bone. Looking around and surveying the now peaceful town, he calls together his warriors to depart, when one of the townspeople stops him. "Thank you sir....you've saved us.....who are you?" Duny speaks up "THAT is Brion Starsighter!" At this, Brion just looks at the man, grins lopsidedly, and shrugs. "Yeah, I guess I am, huh?" Mail suddenly buts in "Ok, can we go now? Or are you gonna pay us?" Brion swats Mail in the head "Ow! Damnit, haystack!" "Quiet Mail..this one was on me.....now we MUST have been brought here for some bigger reason than this..let's go find out what." THe warriors take off and head toward the east....toward....war........ /----------------------------------------\ |The Northern Paladin A.K.A Bryan Pizzuti| Subj: [ffml] [MW] The Arrival... Date: 99-02-08 20:59:07 EST From: Aalans8937@aol.com The knight began to stirr...gazing around him to a bizzar, unfamiliar terrain...Slowly regaining his bearings, he began to recount what had happened...why he was here... The memories came slowly at first, almost as if he were trying to recount a distant, buried memory...If only it had been...But no...Hazy at first, the memories soon opened up...How could he have been so careless? "Brion...," he muttered, "Brion Starsighter...he's here, I can feel it..." The man raised his gauntleted hand into the air to cast a simple spell of teleportation "Wait...I won't rush into it...not this time...First...where is this place?" The Phyrexian Arcdeva stood slowly to his feet, intense pain accompanying his every movement...He looked around, wind blowing almost on cue through his long blond hair...He stood at least 7' tall, clad the by now cracked, white Armor of Voliza, the Sword of Erreth-Akbe resting at his side, his purple and white cape torn and tattered through the countless battles in Pendor...All of which he had won...except one... But what had happened afterwards...After he had fallen...What had happened to the great Tower of Pendor...or Natsuki... He now found himself standing in a desolated wasteland...A desert, no doubt...But how had he arrived here? The scene played through his mind over and over...How had brion become so powerful? Not long ago, he could have crushed Brion at any time he chose! But he had lost! Even with the power of the Mage's Stone... "The stone..." The man pulled out a small, perfectly spherical stone, much like any other stone...But it seemed to radiate an aura of power...An aura of power incomperable to any commanded by normal men...But even this stone had failed to win the battle for him...Even the OmniPhantom, the power of this stone that even he could not fully control, had failed him... But this time he wouldn't be so careless...no...His overconfidence had been his downfall...But even so, he needed to train...To become even stronger...To make Brion pay... "Brion! I, Adran Garrison, the last living son of Erreth-Akbe, will avenge my defeat! You won't be so lucky, this time..." And so the Phyrexian Arcdeva, Adran Garrison, begins his training...in preperation for battle... Well, sorry guys, if I'm not the best writer, but here it is! My character has entered the fray! Be warned... -Adran Garrison /| /\/ ====/\/ ///\\ /// \\ /// /// /// /// _______///_____________ Or... Paladin and Master Moogle War Person Alan Date: 99-02-09 01:30:07 EST From: CHAOS28@aol.com Was it night? Or day? Or other? Chaos couldn't tell as he stared blankly into the literal darkness of space, the darkness of his very mind, and clerity of it, thinking only of the battle ahead. That's when it hit him. For the second time. "I thought I was free of that Universe..." Chaos said softly. "Free forever... from Brion, from Adran, from Roke. I thought me and Seph had finally left for good." He looked at his sword, his metal face-plate appearing black due to no reflection. They'd left Earth's solar system over an hour ago, and the sun along with it, was out of range. "I know what you are thinking," Lorak's voice said calmly in Chaos' dark mind. "But this isn't the time for vengeance. We have to think of the battle ahead. I have sensed Jaana and Sephiroth leaving Earth. As for Shadow and Dark Lord, I am still not so sure. That makes 7 of us... we may have to do without the other 2." "Yes, I know, " Chaos telepathecally replied. "But after this battle... my vengeance on both of them will be sought." "I thought you'd changed," Seph said into their minds. "It's been years since Roke. Let it go. What happened was Brion's fault. And he only did it to save Roke." "I know, but it was still uncalled for." Chaos' face remained unchanged... but his mind turned red with anger. "Vengeance must be saught." "Fine." Lorak's voice echoed sharply through all of them, waking Spacecat. "But don't let it screw this battle up. If any of us are to survive, we need to win." "I know," Chaos replid harshely. "I know." "Uh..." Spacecat started. "What the hell are you talking about, guys?" "I'll explain later," Chaos told him. "We'll have lots of time. But for now, there's the planet Fenris. I invaded it to get my immortality given to me by Abbadon the Despoiler, leader of the frightful Chaos army. We must land there... time to do some recruiting." - C h a o s ! Lord of the Galaxy!
