The night was dark, and the journey of the day was long. The travelers had
done alot in the past while, and all were tired. Except for Chaos. He was
awake and far from sleep, as far as the battling plains of the Console Wars*
was from the Moogle War.
Chaos was pacing uncomfortably around the camp on this cold desert night. His
sword as clean as it was the day he forged it from the ancient stone not
discovered again in this past thousand years.
He breathed a sigh of great trouble. My empire, he though. They are in need
of me... it is all falling apart due to the Dark Moogle.
"But I have an obligation here," he finished out loud.
"We do," Lorak said from behind.
	"You're awake."
"Yes... it's a cold night... and even colder for the poor souls of Bravier."
"How can we just stand idley by and let the Dark Moogle do this?" Chaos
lowered his head. "My planets are being slowly wiped out, city by city...
their people's energy drained, their weaponry shelved, and the landscape
levelled. Bravier was one of the bigger planets. Next is Domineria, then
Crescent, then Magna-Terra, then Olympia... we can't let this happen.
Otherwise there will be nothing to save, and even Earth will be plagued for
armaggedon."
"We must go..." Lorak said, coming up beside him. "We can't worry about
Collin, and Tojo-Mojo, and Jerry Spring right now. The Moogles and Lizar are
about to clash... that will help them. The Sliders, they can take care of
themselves."
"But just to be sure..." Chaos took an amulet out of his pocket. "We'll give
this to them. It'll warp them to their next world, and re-activate their
timer."
"Good," said Lorak. "Dooming them would give the inhabitants of this Earth a
bad name indefinately."
"We'll wake them now," Chaos said. "Time is all we have left. And with the
Cataclysm's chain reaction in hand, all we can do to help Earth is to go to
Olympia and energize the Materia Warrriors."
"I just hope they all show," Lorak said, breathing deeply. "It their choice.
I am confident that Jaana and Sephiroth will come. As for Shadow and Dark
Lord..."
"Right. And about Spacecat... I think he'll come."
"We still don't know who warrior #9 is."**
"That's right. But I think we'll meet him or her up at Olympia... I know I
can only sense 8 of them on this whole planet."
	"Hopefully."
There was dead silence for a moment.
Chaos turned, throwing his cape into the air, and walked back into the tent.
"Wake up. We have a long journey ahead of us."
Remmy grumbled a bit, and leaned up. "What now?"
Lorak: "You four have to carry on on your own now."
	Quinn looked up, blinking. "Whasat?"
"I thought we were going to rescue Tojo!" Spacecat snapped.
"We were," Lorak responded. "Now you are. Chaos, I and Seph must go to
Olympia... now. The Materia Warriors are as assembled as they are going to be
until we reach the final battle between good and evil. I just saw a vision...
Bacca is dead. That means only evil dwells on this planet."
"And unless we stop the Dark Moogle, gain back my Crystals and recharge
Earth's energy, it will rip apart and everything on it will die."
"I see..." Space lowered his head.
"You can't just abbandon us!" Maggie yelled.
"We can... and will." Chaos withdrew the amulet from his pocket and tossed it
to her. "When you rescue Collin, hold hands, all four of nyou, and hold the
amulet. It will use whatever powers your timer, and slide you to your next
world... reactivating your timer. It is a great ancient relic that I hate to
part with, but since we are leaving you..."
"We just simply must do this," Lorak said, argumentitavely. "We have to stop
the Dark Moogle. Spacecat. You must join us on Olympia in the next week or
so... we will contact you from there, and give you instructions on how to get
there."
"Don't bother," Spacecat said back. "I'm coming with you now."
"WHAT?!?" Remmy yelled. "Now hold on! We know NOTHING of this world! We're
luckey we speak the same damn language! But, I mean, what the hell are we
gonna do without any of you guys? We'll die!!"
"No you won't," Chaos said. "Lorak will animate some powerful Golems to help
you until you reach a platoon of humans. From there, Earth's remaining
warriors will help you rescue your friend. Walk for about a day south...
straight south. Following towards the boulder you see about 50 yards away from
this camp. A human scout will find you."
	"But-" Quinn began.
"We don't have time to argue!" Lorak snapped. "The fate of our world could be
in our hands... we have to go!"
"Uh... allow me to ask something here," Seph said. "How the hell are we going
to get to Olympia?"
"Not easily." Lorak produced a ball of energy in his hand. "You'll see how."
Dawn approached... Chaos, Lorak, Seph and Spacecat finished packing their
small belongings.
"I hope this isn't going to get us killed," Quinn said, mistrust in his eye.
"We can't guarantee anything," Lorak said, "but we can sure as hell help as
much as possible."
He cast a bolt of energy into the ground from his hand. Seconds later, eight
9 foot tall pure rock golems appeared from the ground, and surrounded Quinn,
Maggie and Remmy protectively.
"Good luck," Chaos said. "Now, Lorak."
Lorak raised his staff in the air. 4 gigantic blue Spheres appeared around
the 4 Warriors.
"Jaana, Sephiroth, Shadow and the Dark Lord will know what to do when they
see these... I only hope they choose to come. Good bye, Sliders."
They raised into the air, waving goodbye to the Sliders.
"From now on, we communicate telepathically," Lorak said into his mind.
	"How?" Spacecat asked back.
"You just did," Chaos answered him. "Don't worry... it'll be 2 days before we
reach the first planet with breathable air. We'll have lots of time to teach
you and Seph how to use your powers to the greatest extent... I hope you all
also have a book... it's lonely up here."
"Oh great," Seph said in his mind. "We're being taught for the whole
journey."
"Damn," Spacecat thought, with a smile on his face.

And the journey home began... the journey to the Darkhorn Empire, the meeting
with the Dark Moogle, and the battle for Earth itself.
