I made my character start rather uninformed so I could write for him from the same perspective... A pill to make you dumb. A pill to make you anybody else. But all the drugs in this world Won't save her from herself." Marilyn Manson "Coma White" -------------------- Lord Hecht, Lord of the Anihilation of Thought, looked into his viewscreen and laughed. Onscreen were the tallies of the war in the world of balance, and flashes of video showing major battles. "Those fools are playing right into my hands!" He muttered. "Sir?" his minion, Vincent, inquired. "Don't you see! Their meaningless wars are destroying the spiritual makeup of the planet! Without the spiritual essense of the world intact, the wall between this world and theirs will weaken! I will no loger be trapped in this uninhabited mirror world created as my prison so long ago! I will kill them all!" Hecht laughed manaiacally. "Ha ha ha! No longer will my mental adjustemnts of the wheel of creation be disturbed by their meaningless chatter! I will be a GOD!" "Ahh.. yes. I understand now." Vincent replied, an equally evil grin apparent on his face. "The slaughter is near. I will live forever, feasting upon the life force of the wars dead." Vincents grin widened, and the differences between Homo Sapien and Homo Reptilius became apparent. Vincent's needle sharp incisors gave him away. Though Vincent and Hecht looked human, they were not. They and a few servants had been banished here many aeons ago by the last doomed remenants of their race, which they had destroyed. Time does not pass in this world, so Vincent and Hecht had been consigned to an eternity of isolation. Vincent and Hecht were of a race of Humanoid creatures, decended from reptiles. Reptites, as they were commonly know, look similar to humans, but at close range, the differences were apparent. They had been banished to this lifeless, mirror world by the last few members of the reptite race. The reptites, aware that they would soon disappear anyhow, gave their life force unto creating a small fold in the dimension barrier and sealing Hecht and his minions into it. The world they were now trapped in was a twisted reflection of the real world, for it took on the dimensions of its occupants minds. "Vincent," Hecht said; suddenly serious, "I believe I can send you to that world. I cannot go, for the barrier was made specifically to trap me here. You would not face as much resistance. Will you go?" "Of course, my leige." Vincent replied, fist over his heart (which means fist over his upper belly, not the left chest like Humans) in the salute of reptite loyalty. "We must wait for the right time. Niether of us has much power here, but if we wait for a major battle, there will be enough spiritual energy for us to make a portal for you. I trust only you." said Hecht. "Your job is simple. Keep the war going until the participants are consumed by hatred. Keep helping whoever is weakest with your magic and your knolege of technology they have forgotten." "Yes my leige." Vincent said, deep in thought. And they began to wait... ----------------------- Headers -------------------------------- Return-Path:Received: from relay20.mx.aol.com (relay20.mail.aol.com [172.31.106.66]) by air10.mail.aol.com (v51.9) with SMTP; Tue, 27 Oct 1998 18:18:03 -0500 Received: from onelist.com (pop.onelist.com [209.207.135.229]) by relay20.mx.aol.com (8.8.8/8.8.5/AOL-4.0.0) with SMTP id SAA19506 for ; Tue, 27 Oct 1998 18:18:02 -0500 (EST) Received: (qmail 20090 invoked by alias); 27 Oct 1998 23:14:39 -0000 Received: (qmail 19988 invoked from network); 27 Oct 1998 23:14:36 -0000 Received: from unknown (HELO nrtc-pub-mail.affiliate.nortel.net) (137.118.11.2) by pop.onelist.com with SMTP; 27 Oct 1998 23:14:36 -0000 Received: from ml3444.power-net.net (firewall.nrtc.net [137.118.11.6]) by nrtc-pub-mail.affiliate.nortel.net (8.8.8/8.8.5) with SMTP id SAA06950 for ; Tue, 27 Oct 1998 18:17:54 -0500 Message-ID: <363653F0.66C9@macatawa.org> Date: Tue, 27 Oct 1998 18:14:56 -0500 From: Aaron Gover X-Mailer: Mozilla 2.02 (Win95; I) To: ffml@onelist.com Mailing-List: list ffml@onelist.com; contact ffml-owner@onelist.com Delivered-To: mailing list ffml@onelist.com Precedence: bulk Reply-to: ffml@onelist.com Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/mixed; boundary="------------77816A0D114" Subject: [ffml] [MW] A new player...
