Subj: [ffml] [MW] A strange awakening... Date: 98-09-30 19:16:53 EDT From: CHAOS28@aol.com Chaos' head pounded. What had happened? He looked around, but his vision was blurry, and he could see only figures lying down on the ground. He could tell by the particular rock formation he was still at the camp, but what had happened to him? His vision slowly came back. Lorak was standing to his left, his hands charged with energy, a dead wizard at his feet. "What happened?" groaned Chaos. "A Luna Warrior," Lorak replied. "But that's taken care of. He had us under a spell." "How long?" "At least a month we were frozen in time for." Quinn, Remmy, Maggie, Spacecat and Seph slowly get to their feet groaning, gripping their heads. Quinn whipped out a small piece of machinery, that looked like a remote control, a calculator and a celular phone, but with some sort of timer on it. He starred at it in shock. "Oh my god..." he muttered. "What?" Maggie snapped, running up to him. "What's wrong, Q-Ball?" Remmy said, using Quinn's nickname. "The Timer..." Quinn began. "We... we missed the slide window. We're-" "Trapped here for 29 years?!?" Maggie finished for him. "We gotta find Collin," said Remmy. "And find a way offa this rock!" "What the hell are you babbling about?" Seph said, regaining his footing after the groggyness that had embodied him just a few minutes ago.' "It means we have to find a way to get them outta here," Chaos said. "But they can help us! We can use their timer to open a vortex to Olympia in the Darkhorn Empire Solar System... and take out the Dark Moogle right from Earth!" They all starred blankly at Lorak. "How do nyou know so much about this?" asks Quinn. "Simple," Lorak answered. "I studied the device one night, and it is not much different from my scepter." "No," Chaos answered. "They must leave this world. It is doomed." "Doomed?" Seph asked. "How? I thought we had lots of time." "We did," Lorak told him. "Until that Luna Warrior put a spell on us. I was lucky." "What my dream?" asked Spacecat. "Dream?" "Yeah... or was that during our little sleeping phase?" "Hm..." Chaos put his hand to his chin. "I thought I was awake at one point, too. It must have been after the spell'd warn off, and he had to recharge it. We got to him first however." "So what's this about the world being doomed?" asked Spacecat. "Well," Lorak started. "We have to find all the next generation Materia Warriors and use them to recharge the planet's life energy before the planet rips itself apart." "Unfortunately," Chaos added, "we are too late. Unless we can find Jaana, Sephiroth, Shadow, and the Darklord in the next week, and figure out who the ninth is." "Ninth?" asked Seph. "But... that's only 8. Me, you two, Jaana, the other Seph, Shadow, and DL. And the other one, whoever it may be. Who's the ninth?" "Spacecat," Chaos said. "What?!?" Spacecat jumped back. "What do you mean?" "Well, we weren't sure, but njow we have no time to second-guess ourselves." Lorak turned to Quinn. "Sliders. If we can get your slider working, can we find a way to multiply the vortex's power? We need to slide as many people off of this world as we can before the planet destroys itself." "Maybe," said Quinn. "But I need Collen's microdot. We have to save him, and Jerry Springer." "Hm... I believe I saw them heading in the direction of the fortress that night we were awake a few nights ago. I don't know if Bacca still holds it, but that would explain things. They were probably heading for him, nonetheless." "Yes, we have to catch up with them," Chaos said. "It's the only hope for this world. It must be avacuated." "But the window is only open for a minute." Quinn held up the timer. "This only gives us a one minute window. After that, it shuts off for 29 years." "But if all the Materia Warriors use their npower, we can open it for longer," Lorak said. "It's our only hope." Your move, Space! And sorry that this post wasn't good quality. I was trying to rush it. - C h a o s ! Lord of the Galaxy!
