Bacca had ordered most of the magic users to stay away from the fighting, but she had disobeyed that order enough to help out Lady Paladin with healing the soldiers. She had seen Mog's initial attack, and she knew that it would be a brutal one. Schala didn't have much powerful white magic, but she could cure those whose wounds weren't as bad, leaving Lady free to help those who were in need of more healing. Unfortunately, she couldn't help that much, because she'd had to stay out of Bacca's sight; if he ever saw her, he'd probably kick her right back to the safe area. She stood up after healing yet another downed soldier, who went off to rejoin Bacca after giving her a quick word of thanks. She warned him to take it easy, as her magic wasn't very strong, but he had shrugged off the warning, insisting that he felt much better. Besides, Bacca needed all the help he could get, the soldier added. Schala sighed and let him go. A cooling wind blew, and Schala leaned against a wall. She didn't realize just what a hard job Lady had. She closed her eyes, then suddenly heard a cry. "Get off of me!" a woman's voice yelled. "Lady!" she whispered. She bunched up her robes and ran toward the sound. She saw a man in black hefting up Lady onto his shoulder. The healer seemed to be unconscious. "Stop right there!" she yelled. The man scaled the wall, apparently oblivious to her presence. Before she could do anything, a loud noise distracted her. She saw a large group of creatures wreaking havoc, battling Bacca's men and pounding the walls of the fortress. They weren't Henricksons, and finally Schala recognized them as captives that had been in the dungeons. She gasped as a small group ran toward her. Schala called up a strong gust of wind and blew them back. She heard a noise behind her and turned around...smack into an ugly Moogleboar! The Mystic screamed and struggled, but the creature held her tight as one of Mog's minor leaders strode up. "How did you get in the fortress?!" Schala managed to gasp out. The commander looked at her, ignoring her question. "Gag her and take her back to Mog," he snapped at the Moogleboar, which was one of the more intelligent creatures of its kind. The boar put a horrid paw over her mouth, and Schala tried her hardest not to retch at the smell. She fainted. Unseen by Bacca's forces, the boar trudged back to the Moogle camp. "Ah gift for the emperor." said the Boar. Aeris looked her over. "That's... that's Schala." she said finally. She sighed. She picked up on the dark lord's speetch that the moogles weren't supposed to go near her. If Mog touched her, the Dark Lord would likely kill him. But where could she go? She sighed. "Take her to my tent, and stand guard." The Boar nodded and pulled her body away. -- The eternal lord of darkness...
