Drasandin sat at a large table within a vast, vaulted room. Towering
shelves of books, scrolls, and tomes filled the walls and were arranged in
narrow rows across the floor. The dark geomancer idly toyed with the stone
in his gloved hand. The Crystal of Thought, his newest prize, sparkled
interestingly, its multitude of facets each revealing the grey light that
shifted within the crystal.

The door at the far end of the massive library opened with a creak of rusty
hinges, but Drasandin did not turn from where he sat. Instead, he set the
Crystal of Thought down to the Crystal of Life, which lay on his desk, and
frowned. Only two Crystals. He knew he should have taken action sooner,
before all these pesky mortals had begun finding the Crystals. Now he had a
mere two, out of the total twelve. The Avariel girl would draw the one who
held Vortex to him, though. With the amazing dimensional power of the
Crystal of Vortex, Drasandin's search would become quite easy.

He examined the open books and maps that were strewn on the table. They
told of the power of Hillion, how to use it, and so on, to dominate the
planet. They claimed that Hillion was the only thing with the power to take
down even a god such as Godzilla. Drasandin smirked. Hillion would be less
than a speck of power, once he collected the Crystals. The Yggdrasil still
shielded its resting place from him, but that shield would crumble before
the combined might of the twelve Crystals of mana. And then... Drasandin
suppressed a gleeful laugh... the universe would be but a toy in his hands.

Godzilla and the greater gods that could actually defeat him before he
gained such power were a problem though. His keep was shielded from their
eyes, but he could not travel outside for very long without them finding
them. Only if he knew the exact location of a Crystal would he do so. Of
course, there was still a greater threat than the gods of this world...

*Levitos,* Drasandin finally acknowledged to the kneeling figure behind
him, his
telepathic voice filling the library. It was necessary, of course. Having no
corporeal form made speaking physically rather difficult. Drasandin stood,
his dark robes rustling, and the kneeling creature bowed lower still, his
gaze averted.

"Mighty Lord Drasandin," the demon breathed reverently. "It is an honor to
bask in your greatness." Drasandin smiled slightly. Levitos was quite
special... he had taken years to break, being quite a powerful demon. The
perfect knight errant.

*Levitos, you are to kill the other. I do not care who you kill to reach
him, but be wary. It would greatly displease me if you managed to fully
awaken his power.*

Levitos bowed again and murmured his praise to his master before he
flickered, and vanished. Upon the face that none lived to describe,
Drasandin smiled. Oh yes, he would save the world.
