Kefka examined the stone.

"Best quality jewelry! We give special deal! For you, Five hundred gil."
shouted the shopkeeper. Kefka looked at him.

"Four hundred and you have a deal."

"I starve for less than five hundred gil."

"You keep it for more than four hundred gil." retorted Kefka.

The merchant sighed and nodded. Kefka handed him the money and walked off
with a chuckle.

"I love it when no one knows what they're selling." Kefka twirled the green
and red gemstone in his hand then pocketted it. He proceeded to the tavern
where Aracalen said he'd be waiting.

Aracalen was sitting at a table, looking positively bored out of his wits.

"Hey, how's the gravedigger?" asked Kefka as he strutted over.

"What took you so long?" asked Aracalen rather irately.

"This." Kefka again produced the stone.

"And what in the world is that?" Aracalen sounded fairly annoyed, but his
facial expressions said the opposite. His eyes were fixed on the jewel's
radiant beauty.

"And you call yourself a historian." remarked Kefka snidely. "This is the
remains of an eidolon, a mystical beast long since fallen dead."

"This jewel?"

Kefka nodded.

"Wow..." Aracalen was absorbed into the fantastic Gem. HIs eyes fixated on
the center, a small flame which burned. "What is it called?"

"Magicite. Probably one of the last Magicite shards in existance."

Aracalen looked at him oddly.

Kefka shrugged.

"So, what have you learned?"

"There is allegedly a mountain that resembles Pat Buchanan in the Sabil
Mountain range, west of Nikeah."

"So, we're going to Nikeah?"

Aracalen nodded.

"Alrighty then. Let's go. I'm burning with antici.......pation."
