Aaron and Brian were, last he checked, passed out at the campsite. The long trek was taking it's toll on them, Geshtar realized. It would make sense for him to let them off, do their own thing. But these woods were horrendously complex, and he would hate to leave them here to die. They had been quite understanding of his dillemna, after all. He growled. His mind was wandering again. He needed to focus on the task at hand. He laid back, relaxing. He felt his skin sink into the soft dirt. No, he would never abandon them. Since the incident back at the grove, Brian and Aaron were the closest things he had to friends. He missed Celeste and Burdock. "Mother..." he croaked. The moonlight cast a blue haze onto the forest around him... He closed his eyes, relaxed. He ran his hand across a pine cone and fell into a deep sleep. * * * * * * He awoke to a snarling sound around him. Looking around, he did not see anything. He smelt something, something he had never smelled before. He jumped to alertness. He needed to wake Aaron and Brian up! He ran back to the campsite, bursting in just to see Aaron and Brian, back to back, surrounded by several huge, black things. Heads shaped like.. bananas, with huge, drooling fangs. Long, ape like arms, spined backs... From behind them emerged an elderly man in black armour. "Hmmm... more trespassers, I see..." he said. "Well, I'm afraid you'll be dying here, fools." "Who are you?" asked Aaron. "I, my friend, am H.R. Giger, and you are facing my most terrific creation, the Alien." Geshtar snarled as he walked into the ring. "Hmmm..." said H.R. Giger. "A raptor versus several Aliens. This should be interesting..." -- The eternal lord of darkness... Aaron hated to be woken up. Brian was poking him and telling him something about a noise he heard. "What is it, Brian?" Aaron asked groggily. "I hear something in the forest. It sounds... evil!" Aaron listened closely, and he heard it too. Something was moving through the forest, and hissing. Aaron readied his sword. "Where's Geshtar?" he whispered. "I don't know," said Brian, "I haven't seen him since I woke up just now. Then Aaron detected something noxious in the air. "Brian, you didn't mess yourself again, did you?" "No, it's not me, it must be..." Then Aaron and Brian spotted what the sounds and the smell were coming from, an Alien, like the ones in the movie series. Then more appeared. Soon, they were surrounded. "Brian, you know how you're always saying you know marital arts? Well now's the time to use them." "Aaron," whimpered Brian, "I have a confession to make." "What's that," said Aaron, knowing what to expect. "I don't really know martial arts. I just say that to impress people." Aaron just shook his head. Then a man appeared. He was pudgy and had longish gray hair. He wore black armor, which was very menacing in itself, but almost looked silly on him. His face was painted in a way that reminded Aaron of a professional wrestler. "Who are you?" asked Aaron. "I, my friend," the man spoke in a German accent, "am H.R. Giger, and you are facing my most terrific creation, the Alien." Just as Aaron had suspected, this was the guy who had attacked Drugga and Nicotron Z towards the beginning of Hillion Dynasty. Then, to Aaron and Brian's relief, Geshtar appeared, looking ready to help them fight off the Alien monsters. "Hmmm..." said Giger, "A raptor versus several Aliens. This should be interesting... Attack!!" At once, all of the Aliens leapt towards the party. Brian fell to the ground and cried, and made that familiar gurgling sound. Geshtar ripped some Aliens into pieces with his teeth and claws. Aaron hacked away with his magical sword, and did surprisingly well at keeping the monsters at bay. He soon discovered though, that the blood of the Aliens was corrosive. Some spilled on his arm from a decapitated Alien, and he screamed in pain as it burned his flesh. Then he heard another scream that was not his own. He looked behind him to see Brian being hauled off by several Aliens. He tried to stop them, but more of them got in his way. He hacked through those, trying not to get more of their blood on himself and trying to ignore the searing pain in his arm. Eventually, he and Geshtar defeated most of the Aliens, but as soon as they thought that victory was close, Giger summoned more. Before they knew it, Geshtar and Aaron were surrounded by twice as many Aliens as there had been in the first place. "Quick, jump on my back," said Geshtar. Aaron did as he was told. Geshtar then made a huge leap over the heads of the Aliens and dashed away from them. "What about Brian?" said Aaron, holding on tight. "We can't go back for him," said Geshtar. They already got him, and we couldn't stop them. If we go back, they will have us too." Then, before either of them realized what had happened, they had fallen into an unseen secret passageway. Aaron sat up, holding his aching head, which he had just fallen on. He took in his surroundings. He and Geshtar were in a place that looked like a cross between the Bat-Cave and FF6's Magitek Research Facility. There were large supercomputers and other strange devices everywhere. Everything had a dark, twisted lifelike appearance too it. The place was pretty creepy, but luckily for them, no one else was there, other than a few bizarre creatures that were kept in large tubes. The decor reminded him of the Aliens, and Giger's armor. "This must be that guy's lab," he said. Geshtar nodded. Then Aaron spotted something that was compelling to him. On top of meticulously carved desk, there lay a small book with a lock on it. Aaron walked to the desk and examined the book. 'The Diary of H.R. Giger," the cover read. Aaron was very interested in the content of this diary. Even if it didn't answer all of his questions, it could probably answer at least some of them. He slipped the book into his pocket. "Let's get out of here now," said Aaron, "before Giger or one of his helpers finds us." "Oh, you won't be leaving, at least not while you're alive!" said a voice behind them. It was a moogle cyborg. Mog? No, it couldn't be. Other than the technology it was equipped with, it looked like a normal moogle. Then he noticed that on it's head, it wore a summoner's horn. "JohnMog?" said Aaron. "Do I know you?" said the moogle, puzzled. "No, not really..." said Aaron. "Well, either way, you are trespassing in my master's lair, and for that you will die!" Then suddenly, the large glass tubes burst open, and the horrific beasts inside sprang into action. Each one of them looked different. Some looked sort of like the Aliens. Others were more humanlike. Others resembled skeletons and robots. Even though they were about to attack him, Aaron noticed that many of them were almost... sexy? Before he could follow that thread of thought further, all the beasts started attacking Aaron and Geshtar. Some of them were less formidable than the Aliens, and some were more so. But just like the Aliens, they just kept on coming. "I think I know how to get out of here!" said Geshtar. He motioned for Aaron to grab onto him again. Aaron did so, and Geshtar evaded the current wave of monsters, and made his way to the wall of the cave, which he began to climb. He found the whole that they had fallen through, and climbed up through it. Once they got back to the surface, Aaron said "What do we do now?" "We get the fuck out of here!" Then Geshtar ran, with Aaron still holding on, to where he believed the Arsenal of the Gods to be. ------------- www.giger.com, for all your H.R. Giger needs. Aaron Ackerson
