From: "His Dark Lordship" To: "ffml" ; "Hillion Dynasty" Subject: [ffml] [HD] A long awaited return Date: Sunday, June 17, 2001 10:49 PM The Red Wing hovered over the remains of the Calypso mountains. A small minature airship flew up to it and connected. Hiryuu walked out, with a tiny girl beside him. Golbez looked at him. "Fuck, have I got a story to tell you..." grumbled Hiryuu. "I don't want to hear about it. Did you get the crystal?" Hiryuu shook his head. "Some weird freak got it." Golbez then looked at Hiryuu, or rather, beyond Hiryuu. "Who is that with you?" Hiryuu looked behind him, then stepped out of the way. Rydia looked at Golbez. "I.. it's you." "Likewise. It has been awhile." Golbez chuckled. "So glad to meet you again." Golbez then looked at Hiryuu. "I will deal with your failure later. Go." Hiryuu sighed and walked off. "So, the fates must be truely interested if they have played the caller of Mists to me." Rydia looked at him rather awkwardly... (There you go, Aramarth. Got you out of that situation. Your turn.) -- The eternal lord of darkness... Rydia glared at Golbez, still trying to intenralize all that she'd learnt and figured out on her own over the last few seconds. So Golbez was trying to get the crystals as well.. That was news that she didnt know, although she wasnt certain how long shed been out of commision in that pocket dimension. 'Well I must certainly say that youve changed over the years' Golbez spoke, the omnipresent helmet making his voice sound dark and ominious, ' If Im not wrong, then youve actually gotten younger...' 'None of your beeswax,' Rydia retorted. She hadnt trusted Golbez when he helped her and her friends defeat Zerumus centuries ago, and she certainly didnt trust him now. The fact alone that he was gathering crystals again sent shivers up and down her spine. 'Heh, I still see you have a bit of an.. attitude problem... If you were to see fit to aid me in my endevours, I would be, of course, very thankful' Rydia at this point told him where to go, and what to do with the Behemoth when he got there, as well as how to get there quickest, cuz she was damned sure that no Chocobo would ever carry him anywhere. * * * * * * * Rydia paced the 'Guest Room' that she had been sent to slowly, still going over what she had gleaned during the meeting with Golbez. She breifly concidered taking him up on his offer, if only to figure out what he was up to, but not knowing how long she was away relitive to her home plane, she decided it was more important that she made it to Lady Pyxie and the rest of the Harem. The cursed child-woman examined the room in great detail, looking over the wards that were placed around it to keep casters from using magic within its confines. Looking over the room, and thinking at the same time, she was sure that Golbez hadnt placed the wards himself, instead passing the task over to whatever Black mages he had at his beck and call. If Golbez himself had done it she -might- of had a problem with it. His leashed wizards on the other hand were all too amaturish in thier enchantments. She stepped lightly over to the floor-tile she felt the tell-tale eminations of the heavy enchantment. 'Idiots,' she spoke under her breath,' every first spell initiate should know better then to place an enchanted item to stop casting from the same room as the captive..' Rydia placed her hands on opposite corners of the tile and concentrated her mind on the ebb and flow of the magical winds, and how they were diverted around this room via the tile. The lines of force slowly showed themselves in her minds eye, and she followed them with the proverbial finger, trying to pinpoint the place where she could blow out the spell. Dissapointingly quickly she found it, after muttering several curses about inept mages keeping her from the first magical exerisize in several weeks, she forced her will into the enchantment, and pushed at the weaker path of magical energy. With a sharp -CRACK-, the tile split asunder. Showering the young looking caller with bits of stone ceramic. Cursing some more, deciding that Golbez didnt get his mages to do it, but instead his pet hounds, she got up and brushed herself off. She felt the magical pulse of the alarm that she had undoubtedly triggered when the broke the spell, and decided it was time to make herself scarse. Placing her hands at her sides she closed her eyes, concentrated on the Harem, and cast the teleportation spell. The first guards to make it in the door were honored enough to see a flash of green and a slight forest scent, the poor saps piling in right after didnt get to see a thing. ---------------------------------- First post in awhile.. Maybe thingsll get moving again.. or maybe not *L* -Ryds
