Azala sat at a bone table. He had yet left the shrine. Across from him sat
Rktktos and... The Lord of Darkness.

"Nice to see you again Eric-err... Thanatos."

"Aye." said Thanatos.

"Alright, explain to me, please, why I am here right now."

Rktktos sat up.

"Very well. You are aware of the ancient tounge of your kind, yes?"

Azala nodded.

"You have two different types of Reptite." added Thanatos, "Homo Reptilious
Prime, and Homo Reptilious Macrosis."

Azala nodded.

"For centuries, except in your rather short lived dynasty's case, Prime has
been the ruling species. The more physical and unstable string of Macrosis
has functioned as a working species."

"Alright. This much I already know." grumbled Azala.

"However, Reptite history has been shrouded in mists, especially beyond 8000
years ago. 12000 years previous to now, there also existed Reptilious
Maximus."

Azala blinked.

"Reptilious Maximus was the ruling race. More aristocratic than anything,
the other Reptite species served them, and this had functioned for
centuries."

"But then, another species came into contact. Homo Sapiens, the old tounge
called them. They basically copied Maximus' great culture."

"At that point, the three Reptite species were beyond high society. Great
robotic masses functioned as makeshift bodies for them. Great bone towers
dwarfed common structures. In the centre of it all was the Lizard God."

"Lizard God."

"Creator of the Reptites. Ancient as the earth itself. He, himself, was
tended by the Reptilius Maximus. He had it made."

"But then, something happened. Warfare. The humans, who had basically taken
the Reptite's culture for thier own, went against the Elder Reptites. In
what was perhaps the most devistating conflict the world had ever seen, the
forces stalemated each other for close to a century."

"Then, something happened. The humans came up with an idea. Germ Warfare.
Disease. Reptilius Maximus died overnight from the horrid disease, while
the other two races survived and were forced to flee as the Humans
approached the capital, where the Lizard God resided."

"Using the ancient Metal known as 'Drium' the humans sapped the Lizard God,
detained in his own throne, of his strength, sealing him behind 7 seals,
and placing them in several Reptite War hangers."

"This was not enough for the humans, though. They quickly pursued the other
species, only to find they had... disapeared off thier known world, which
was still quite limited."

"The departure of the Lizard God allowed three other beings to move in."
finished Thanatos.

Azala nodded in understanding.

"You two, and..."

"Loltrek, the White." said Rktktos.

Azala nodded.

"So what became of this human civilization?" he asked.

"Let's just say that the humans made the mistake of pissing me off."
chuckled Thanatos, loosening up.

"You still haven't explained to me why I'm here." grumbled Azala.

"Well, the Reptite's current ruler, a man known as Ussracts, wants to win
the favor of the Lizard God. The Lizard God, after millenia of seclusion
has developed a bit of a... revelation. Anyway, should Ussracts attempt to
win the Lizard God's favor, the results for the balance between the
Human/Moogle forces would be devistated."

"Ahhh... Thanatos.." cut in Rktktos.

"Aye?"

"Ussracts and a small force left for Vector a week ago."

Thanatos sighed.

"This is why I insist on being all seeing." grumbled Thanatos.

"So, what you need me to do is Usurp Ussracts." said Azala.

"In a sense, yes. But, also the Lizard God must be stopped."

"Wherefore?" asked Azala.

"He already exists in this world. Here, he has slept for centuries, hidden
away. He is the now released Lizard God's future."

Azala nodded.

"Also, I'm not too keen on competition." chuckled Thanatos. "And the Lizard
God in fact, possesses more power than Rktktos or I."

Azala nodded.

"Azala... you are integral to keeping things under control." explained
Rktktos. "Will you rise again?"

Azala grinned.

"I went along with your Prophecy bullshit, didn't I?"
