There was a soft, kind glade...

Far west of Vector, hidden by a deep woodland of lesser beauty. Here,
waterfalls are frequent and the chittering of birds is rarely unheard.

There is a small ruined cabin here. Collapsed by the flow of time, it could
reveal old artefacts for those that could find this place.

Near the cabin, amidst a small circle of irises, lay two tombstones. The
writing is worn again by the flow of time, but despite this well kept,
perhaps having a keeper.

A keeper it does have.

He stood before the graves. His black skin softened by a single tear. His
eyes gazed upon the graves.

The left grave was noted for the great sword that portuded from it, a sword
in a stone. The writing, while fainted, could be recognized as:

"Here lies the one namethed Glenn, knight of the Mystic."

The right grave was donned by two glittering red stones, implanted in it's
centre like eternal eyes. Here, the grave read:

"Here lies the Mystic Schala, Maiden of the beast."

A second tear came across the keeper's face, and leaked down the side of it
to the ground below.

Glenn, the warrior, was entrusted to the care of Schala as she fled the
Moogles, who had visciously raped her. Schala, however, was endued with
some odd force, a hatrietic rage that built.

History Books generally do not explain the disaster that overtook the area
that the city of Albrook once stood, but the keeper knew only too well.

He had sealed himself to this fate on their simultaneous deaths, 599 years
ago, one year after the official end of the second Moogle War. His vow that
this area would never be raped by the horrors of civilization bound him to
avoid death, and the Reaper understood, and passed him by.

Knowing that all was in check, the Keeper slowly disapeared into a clear
stream of energy, retaining his eye on the land he vowed to protect from
the evils of time.
